This is a review of "Flash Car Care Automotive Car Shampoo 500ml Easy To Use Car Wash, Powerful Foam Formula, Quick and Effective Car Shampoo, Safe For All Automotive Paintwork". I usually buy car shampoo in large 5 litre containers so this bottle seemed unusually small to me when it arrived. It's a concentrated solution however so it doesn't need much to provide an effective cleansing solution, lathering up well. It's at least as good as my regular product and, at just under 8 quid for the bottle (at time of review) is fairly priced. This car shampoo is fine, does the job, and smells good. I am not a professional car detailer so all I care for with a car wash product is that I can sponge it on and wash it off and that the dirt is gone and no streaks appear. That's exactly what this Flash shampoo does. Don't be put off by the size of this bottle compared to others you'll buy, this is a 500ml bottle but the liquid is concentrated so do your measurements to ensure you don't use too much.

Our car "Doris" really doesn't get cleaned that often and when it does it's a budget wash at home and not a fancy-schmancy job at the £7 to £12 drive-thru car wash that we go by every day. With all the agricultural vehicles and mud on the roads around us it doesn't take long for our car to get the "gone offroad" look, plus the cold snap we had recently and road gritting only added to the look of neglect that our car had. Now I know some of you will gasp in horror but we (mostly my other half) usually wash our car with a Flash "all purpose" floor cleaner with excellent results so when the chance to try the new Flash car shampoo arrived we thought that we give it a go and spoil the old girl. Our car was so mucky that my partner decided he would use the two bucket method, one bucket for the top half of the car and another for the bottom half. Armed with the car washing mop and the first bucket of warm water with the Flash shampoo in he set about the roof and down to the middle trim that runs both sides and across the boot, looking out of the front room window as it was a cold day and no way was I going outside I could see the car start to appear from under the dirt that was hiding it. Now I'm no expert on car washing but either the old boy was putting in more effort than usual or the Flash shampoo was helping things along pretty well. The first bucket came and went and maybe because the lower half of our really mucky car had been pre-soaked by the top half wash, the second bucket was soon gone too. A quick rinse off with a couple of watering cans full of warm clean water left "Doris" looking very clean indeed. So it's now been a whole week since Doris had her two bucket wash and I'm thinking that she still looks quite clean despite the weeks mix of country lanes and city driving, the weather has been pretty rough this last week and there's been plenty of big agricultural vehicles leaving mud on the roads too! I'm thinking that maybe the Flash car shampoo must have something in it that repels water and dirt because Doris should be looking very mucky already but she isn't. I am, or I should say we are (me and Doris) giving the Flash car shampoo a very well deserved five out of five stars, is there something in this shampoo that repels the dirt and water, I think there must be as Doris still looks very presentable.

I don't like washing my car, neither do i like getting somebody else to do it for me so it normally ends up having a nice protective layer of grime on it until I feel I have to do something about it. The car washing gloves are a game changing product which means that combined with a bucket or two of this stuff I can move all the grime off my car in about 30 minutes. This Flash car cleaner does work pretty well, it moved the grime and cleaned the wheels. It doesn't look like it's just come out the showroom (that was was nearly a decade ago), but it does look clean and it was easy. Difficult to say if it is better then my other cleaners, but it definitely isn't worse and I will use it again.
