If you press it with your finger you shouldn’t be able to dent it. Pure beeswax is very hard when cold. Hold it up to the light and check it’s opaque. Natural beeswax isn’t see through and it’s a similar colour to English mustard or the colour of the rating star on this page. The above are only a guidelines and in some instances one or more may change due to heat, or a slight colour variation caused by a natural residue that can form over time. Cute little bars of beeswax that melted well and smoothly, with no strong scent. I chose these as a natural beeswax product of known provenance, as I thought I’d go back to basics to polish a wooden cabinet with the added bonus of the rest of them being suitable to use in body care products and balms too. Wood finish came up beautifully and no chemical headache! I would definitely buy these again. Please be wary of some of the cheaper options out there claiming to be pure beeswax, as they have chemical scents, unknown composition, and could be bad for your health.

Very very smelly. Not like honey/sweet more burnt/paint? I thought it would be good to make wax wraps for use in the kitchen but the wax stinks so bad and the wraps smell too now!! Wasted my money.
